Driving Central America & South America.
Any favorite must see spots and advice for which routes to take?

I am planning my route and really dont have a lot of time to kill.
I am concerned about taking a safe route. Any advice?
I am driving north from Panama to Canada
Any must see spots along the way?

The volcano in Antigua, Guatemala is erupting. I'd try to see that for sure. I climbed it when it was dormant and you could look into the cone. Totally cool. see some ruins. they're all different.
