hey folks, just found this website.... been using the lonely planet forum for quite awhile to find info... anyway... im goin from ohio to panama on motorcycle no time frame..... gettin a bit lonely by myself would love to caravan with anyone on motorcycle car or anything.... Im a kind 22 yr old male that likes think the cup is half full. If anyone is goin that way in the next couple weeks that be great! thanks

We're in Mazatlan - looks like we missed each other. We'll not be into Guatemala until the beginning of January. Where did you cross?

crossed in tailsman..... heard it was the easiest crossing.... HAH it wasnt so simple.... but if you speak spanish you will prbly have an easier time than I..... the checkpoint to get your sticker taken off is about 15 miles before guatemala.... took me about 2 hrs at the boarder... make sure you know the exchange rates.... no banks at the border just hustlers.... best of luck.... anyway I hit it at an extremely busy time... guatemala is beautiful.... Im spending a couple weeks in quetzaltango... well did prbly leaving shortly.... take care and safe travels.

Hey, what's happened to you? Where are ya? We're in Tapachula - got the messages to hit San Cris too late, dammit. So we're gonna do the Talisman thing too -- exchanged some money here so we won't have to deal with the money touts. Man, those border trimitadores hit us 40 miles before Tapachula!!! We haven't been pulled over in Mexico (knock on wood) so we thought he was pulling us over (and he acted like it) then, with my stilted Spanish, we figured out he was touting us. Irritating.... So, anyway, where are ya?
