Hi folks,

I thought we should start a few lists!

For this one, let's talk about

1) phrases and words in spanish that you needed to know when you were traveling
2) phrases you want to know!

Please post spelling corrections, and also where you found the words. For example, "tire repair shop" has something like 5 different words, based on the country.

I'll start off:

topes, tumulos, derumbles: speed bumps
Alto: stop sign
parquero: isn't this a parking area?
estaciemiento: parking -- can mean both parking on the street, as in no parking here, or can mean a parking lot? Also seen as a big "E"
llanteria, (vulcanador?) : tire fixing place
cruce: crossing, like a cross street.
circulacion: traffic
titulo: car title
coche: car
carro: car in guatemala.. (coche means pig!)

More to come! You guys chime in.
